The Extra Vegetables Control4 driver for the Heatmiser system implements the following features:

• Simple solution including interface and Control4 driver.
  The solution consists of an interface box to the Heatmiser system which connects to the Control4 system via Ethernet. This interface can either be placed adjacent to the Heatmiser switch box or in the rack.  In either case a single Cat5 connection is all that is required between the two.
• Works with all V3 12v network wired Heatmiser systems.
  The Heatmiser UH1 has the network connection required for integration with an external control system such as Control4.  This can then be combined with the range of network model thermostats.  This includes the B&W touchscreen stats but not the colour Touchpad.

• Thermostats available in different finishes.
  The slimline thermostats are available in a number of different finishes to match the interior.

• Heatmiser Touchpad NOT required and CANNOT BE USED.
  The only equipment required for the integration is Heatmiser thermostats and wiring center switch box.  No other interfaces are required apart from the one we supply.  A Heatmiser colour touchpad cannot be used with the driver.  Unfortunately it floods the interface with requests such that we can't 'get a word in edgeways'.

• Control heating set points from the Heatmiser or Control4 interfaces. 
  Heating set points can be set either on the the Heatmiser thermostats or on the Control4 interfaces. Any changes made are automatically communicated between the two systems.
• Scheduling support
  You can now adjust the heating schedules on both the Heatmiser stats and the Control4 interfaces.  We're sure your customers will prefer to adjust them on the Control4 interfaces.  Changes made on either device are synchronised across to the other.
• Allows web control of heating via 4Site. 
  With the Control4 integration in place your customer can control their heating set points via 4Site. There's no need for them to use a separate interface for the heating control and no additional Heatmiser equipment is required to enable remote control of the heating.   You can also now adjust the heating schedules remotely with the flash version of 4Site.
• Allows setting and recalling of heating 'scenes'. 
  Heating scenes are a simple way for your customer to set heating points throughout the property.  This is ideal for weekend and holiday homes.  You can define a scene which will warm the property up before they arrive and another to turn the heating down when the leave.  With 4Site all can be set remotely without any additional Heatmiser equipment.
• Compatible with Control4 OS 2.x Only.
  This driver is only compatible with Control4 OS 2.x only.  It will not work with 1.7 or 1.8 installations.

Limitations
There are currently the following limitations with the driver:

• Hot Water
  There are no dedicated Hot Water 'buttons' on the Control4 interface. The driver provides these commands in Custom Programming so they can be added to Custom Buttons.  Please note it is not possible to view or edit the Hot Water schedules from Control4.
• Holiday mode
  Currently holiday mode can only be set from the Heatmiser interfaces.
• Wired System Only
  Only the Heatmiser 12v Network WIRED system can communicate with external control systems.  The driver does not work with the Heatmiser WIRELESS system.
• Hold periods
  From the Control4 interfaces you can only set a 2 hour hold period.

Requirements
The following are required for successful deployment of the driver.

• Control4 2.0 (or higher) + HC800 Controller for larger systems
• The introduction of any two-way driver into a project adds to the processor load.  In line with Control4's recommendations we suggest that an HC800 is used for systems of more than three rooms.
