Extra Vegetables' driver for the iPort FS23 iPod dock provides full integration with the desktop iPod dock and Control4.
iPort have collaborated with us on this driver to ensure that it is both fast and reliable. This has meant that the dock is really simple to install as part of a Control4 installation. Your customers will be able to fully browse the content on the docked iPod. The driver also retrieves the cover art from the song playing. The dock is controlled over IP Ethernet. Separate cables are then connected for the audio and optional video outputs.
The FS23 produces a high resolution component video TV display for choosing music. Our driver allows your customers to make their selections using the Control4 interfaces too (including the Control4 iPad/iPhone apps) For more detail on the iPort FS 23 please click here.

The Extra Vegetables Control4 driver for the Channel Vision Technology P-3036 on-wall iPod dock implements the following features:
•Allows selection of music on docked iPod.
All music content on a docked iPod can be listed on the Control4 interfaces. This includes listing by Album, Artist, Genre and Play list.
•IP Ethernet two-way communication with the Control4 system.
The FS23 is a two-way Ethernet device. Control is all via IP which is fast and reliable. Separate audio and optional video connections are required.
•Cover Art on Now Playing Screen
When music starts playing the driver retrieves the cover art from the iPod and displays this on the Now Playing mini-app and Now Playing screen. Retrieval is very quick and does not produce a significant load on the Control4 system. Limitations There are currently the following limitations with the driver:
•No cover art when browsing
Like all iPod dock drivers cover art is only shown on the Now Playing screens. Requirements The following are required for successful deployment of the driver.
•HC800highly recommended
In line with Control4's recommendations we recommend that an HC800 controller is used on all systems with more than three rooms.
•Control4 2.x
This driver is only for Control4 OS 2.x
